Use the Interactive Map on the Contemporary Lingusitics website to listen to dialects different from your own. Choose two of the three ways in which languages can differ from each other that we have discussed (Phonology, Syntax, Morphology) and find an example of a dialect that differs from your own based on that aspect (you can choose a different dialect per aspect). State what the dialect is and how it differs from your own. If you need more to make it to a full page, you may note linguistic differences between dialects that you have encountered either through travels or contact while in school.

For both, discuss how does the study of Linguistics help you to appreciate how and why these dialects differ from one another.
